If you don’t, go back and check the various volume controls to ensure nothing’s muted and all the volumes are at an audible level. If you hear the system beep or other audio feedback, you’re good to go and Windows Media Player should work great. Make sure it’s not muted (mine is in the screenshot, notice) then move the slider up or down just a bit. Make sure that the device selected is correct (it’s probably the name of your sound card, not your speakers, as mine is a Realtek sound card) then click on the “Volume…” button:įinally, the master Volume Control on the left side is what’s most likely affecting the playback of audio in Windows Media Player. The area of interest is labeled “Sound playback”. You might check your speaker volume here, but I’m willing to bet that it’s not the problem you’re facing (otherwise you wouldn’t hear any beeps!)Ĭlick on the “Audio” tab along the top to get to the audio application output settings. If you have the same, you should definitely uncheck it. many other (not supplied with the software). Note here that I have the mute button checked. A DVD player or a computer equipped with a DVD drive is required to play DVDs. To fix your problem, go to Start –> Settings –> Control Panels –> Sounds and Audio Devices Properties. The problem is that there isn’t a single volume control for everything but rather a set of different volume controls – and mute buttons – for different types of audio output. Hope you may know what I’m missing or doing wrong.I know what’s happening with your computer because I’ve seen it happen on my own Windows XP PC more than once. Never had this problem before and have made hundreds of CD’s from albums & cassettes using Audacity but that has been several years ago. burning a (data disc) not audio disc so no audio on the CD. I then use Windows Media Player to burn it on a CD and all the same when you burn it. I can save the program in IMPORT, EXPORT AUDIO, SAVE PROJECT, SAVE PROJECT AS.Īll the same. I then go to file then Export Multiple…That all works fine and I now have no idea what to do next and never had this problem before. I now have the program on Audacity edited and the 17 song tracks separated. I noticed that while the last CD was burning to CD drive D it also had DATA DISC just below that. I’ve tried several audio changes then burned several more CD’s. Just noticed something that may be the problem but could find nothing about (audio file) and never had this problem before. I am using Audacity 2.1.0 I did drag the file back to Audacity and everything the same. H2 was disconnected from the computer after the program was recorded on Audacity. NO audio at all playing the disc on the computer or any other CD player. ALL of the 72 minutes of the program is on the CD with no audio. That all worked the way it always did in the past. (NO other choices such as AUDIO CD - MP3 etc.) Used windows Media Player to burn the edited program. An audio waveform and I could adjust the recording level. Recorded the program from the H2 to audacity. Would only be able to burn it and no way to edit it if that were the case. Should be on disc F but couldn’t find the H2 or SD card icon anywhere. Don’t want that on the CD.Įmbarrassing being so ignorant with all this but just tried getting the files from the SD card in the computer. There is about four minutes of recorded time before the program starts. Yes this is the only way I’ve ever known how to do it and being a one hour live recording I need to edit it if possible.
